My name is Donald R Hudleston, I am the third of four boys, born in 1966. I come from a family who is committed to serving. My father, John Hudleston, is an Army veteran and a small business owner for over 30 years. My mother, Judy Hudleston, is a retired Registered Nurse that served for over 25 years.  My parents raised us four boys to serve their country, respect others and to lead a Christian life. I married my lovely wife, Leanne in 1990. Leanne is an educator and is devoted to the children she interacts with everyday.  Together we have a beautiful daughter Miranda (14). We have made Cross Pointe Church our home of worship where we enjoy being active members. In our spare time, we enjoy yard work, soccer, grilling, spending time together, college football and being outdoors.

I graduated from high school in 1985.  In 1986, I joined the United States Navy where I navigated submarines until 1990. Upon my departure from active duty, I joined the Navy Reserve until I was honorably discharged in 1994.   I later received a Bachelors and Masters Degree and now work for the Boeing Company in Huntsville, Alabama where I hope to retire.

As an active volunteer, I served the youth soccer program through the Alabama Youth Soccer Organization.  I also was a head coach for youth softball and girls fast pitch softball programs.  For the last two years, I have been a member of the Technology Advisory Board at Athens Middle School where I make recommendations regarding the latest technologies that are being utilized in the corporate world.  I was also a volunteer for “Mentor for Youth Challenge Cadet Camp” where I worked with troubled teens.

• Appointed by Athens City Council to serve on the Athens Zoning Board, a position I successfully served for the last year and plan to continue to serve
• Homeowners Association President for Canebrake Community
• Member of Canebrake Architectural Board
• Served 4 years on the Board of Directors for Hudleston Tractor and Dozer
